Page 328 – Life is Beautiful

We feel so blessed to be in an industry that desires community over competition. To truly believe that a tide can raise all ships in its harbor without sinking one.

We are encouraged to reach out, connect, inspire, celebrate and help. Our industry has chosen to stand together and because of that we all are stronger!

We want to start this blog post off by saying that the movement to value community over competition has been an incredible, world changing experience for us personally.

We had no idea how amazing connecting with so many wonderful photographers this year could be! In person and online we are truly thankful for everyone we have met…especially one girl in particular!

It has been an incredible blessing to meet and get to know Christa, the beautiful photographer behind Christa Rene Photography!

We connected over social media and discovered very quickly that we all had so much in common! We were ecstatic to know that the distance between us was only about an hour and it was an absolute joy to finally meet this sweet girl in person as we filled a local Starbucks with our voices and laughter for over 3 hours!

We think Christa summed it up perfectly when she said, “It’s been amazing having someone who just “gets” you. Someone who understands what it’s like to be a young photographer business owner, who can laugh with you at the humorous parts, who has the same role models as you in the photography industry and you casually refer to them like they’re friends even though they have no idea we exist ;). Someone who gets your frustrations and discouragements, but also understands the joys and rewards from such an amazing job.”

When we found out that Christa had never been to Hendersonville we quickly set a date for her to come and visit us and to show her around our little mountain town!

We had so much fun exploring Main Street with her, dodging rain showers, showing off our beautiful mountains, apple orchards, rivers and of course taking lots of pictures!!

It was so neat for all of us to have a chance to be in front of the camera!! Christa did a great job with our new headshots!

Juan and Nidia’s wedding day was simply spectacular! From their engagement session, to Nidia’s bridal portraits, to their beautiful wedding day, we absolutely loved working with this sweet couple and getting to know them over the past year.

After our first consultation with Juan and Nidia we couldn’t help but get excited as Nidia explained her vision for incorporating many old Hispanic traditions into every part of her wedding with lots of fun surprises throughout their day (including a very big and exciting one at the end of their reception!)

Every one of Nidia’s dreams became such an amazing reality and we were completely amazed by it all! The colors, the culture, the traditions, the celebration shared with their family and friends, capturing their day as it unfolded was an experience we will never forget!

Juan and Nidia, thank you so much for allowing us to document your first day as husband and wife! Your day was beautiful, but we know that the life you now share together will be even more so!
