Derek and Rachael are getting married!!

We can’t tell you how good it was to hear Rachael’s sweet laughter again!

We have been friends for forever, no, seriously though, our parents met in Lamaze class, so there was never a time when we didn’t know her!

We were best friends growing up and our days were filled with baby dolls, park days, birthday parties, and fun play dates together!

When we were about 9 years old our families just lost touched and we didn’t see or hear from each other for over a decade.

It wasn’t until August, at a meeting with Rachael & Derek’s wedding venue coordiantor that someone mentioned our names as a suggestion for their wedding day photographers.

Rachael’s mom recognized our names immediately and gave us a call the very next day! We were so excited to hear from our dear friends again and we quickly set up a day for all of us to get together.

There were many hugs, lots of laughter, and even a few tears shed that night as we sat around and talked and reminisced.

 It was as if no time had passed at all and we picked up right where we left off! Even after all this time we still have so much in common! From our interests, our favorite TV shows, even the stores where we love to shop!

We feel so honored to be able to capture Derek and Rachael’s love story and we were so excited to finally meet Derek at their engagement session!

These two are the absolute sweetest couple and were such naturals in front of our cameras!

Congratulations, you two!! We couldn’t be more happy for you both and we cannot wait to capture your wedding next summer!
