Page 270 – Life is Beautiful

She sat in her bedroom holding her sweet newborn baby girl, Father of the Bride playing on the TV in the background. Happiness and love filling her heart in a way it never had before! Soft tears began to fall down her face and when her husband asked her what was wrong, she laughed a little, saying it was silly, nothing was wrong, but she explained that she was thinking about the day they too would be planning a wedding and giving their daughter away in marriage. “That day seems so far away,” he said, and she agreed that it indeed was a long way away…but she never lost that feeling and kept it in her heart, because she knew time would surely fly by faster than either of them could image and all too soon the future would become the present and her sweet sentimental ponderings would become reality…

Tears filled our eyes as Rachael’s mother watched her daughter drive away to her own happily ever after and told us about this beautiful memory! She was glowing with so much love and happiness, much like we can imagine she was that night in her bedroom holding her precious baby girl. Every season of life is so special and each one is different, bringing so many new joys and things to celebrate! Time has blessed this sweet family and reconnecting and capturing their beautiful lives through this incredible wedding experience has definitely been a huge honor and sums up exactly why we love what we get to do every day as photographers!

Derek and Rachael’s wedding day was simply perfect and we truly enjoyed every minute we had these two in front of our cameras!

From their gorgeous fall engagement session, Rachael’s bridal portraits, a special session with Derek’s amazing family and their wedding day, we have loved getting to know this sweet couple and their families even better!

It was a hot, but breezy July evening when Derek and Rachael, surrounded by their closest friends and family, were pronounced husband and wife by Rachael’s grandfather.

Spirits were high in celebration of this happy union and gorgeous golden light made everything feel like a dream as the sun set into the hazy mountain views that surrounded their lovely venue!

Rachael glowed brighter than the stunning sparkles that adorned her blush wedding dress and Derek never stopped smiling from happiness!

We absolutely loved every thoughtfully planned detail and the incredible florals Rachael designed and created herself!

I think Rachael summed it up perfectly when she said “When you asked if I wanted to go on an adventure, I knew something amazing was going to happen!”

We were finishing up ceremony location detail pictures when we glanced around the farm and noticed a beautiful golden field. “Do you think they would be willing?” we asked each other. After talking to the venue owner and getting the ok to access the field , we ran up to the bridal suite and asked, “Rachael, would you be up for an adventure during your sunset portrait time?” We explained about the gorgeous field we had found and the arrangements we had made to get there and we held our breath, anxiously waiting her answer! And she said… “Let’s do it!!” with a big smile! So, after the ceremony and all of the wedding party portraits were complete, we all excitedly piled onto an ATV and took a short drive to the field. And friends.. It was MAGICAL! We were surrounded by glowy light and the quietness of the the sun setting and the breeze whispering through the grass. Derek and Rachael held each other, silently whispering their love for each other and excitement for the future.
